Himanshu Mishra is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering at KAUST. He is affiliated with KAUST's Water Desalination and Reuse Center and Center for Desert Agriculture. Mishra's research group has made original contributions to interfacial chemistry of water and pioneered CarboSoil™ and SandX™ technologies for growing plants in the KSA for food production and nature conservation. Mishra's start-up, Terraxy LLC, is scaling up those soil amendment technologies to contribute to KSA-wide efforts in organic landfill diversion, greening giga-projects, and carbon sequestration. His students are pursuing exciting careers in industry, academia, and entrepreneurship.
