Founder and President, Saudi Youth for Sustainability
Eman Alhajji is a Ph.D. candidate, innovating nanocarbon materials for energy storage under the supervision of Prof. Husam Alshareef at KAUST. She is an alumnus of the KAUST Gifted Student Program and Grand Challenge Scholars program of the US National Academy of Engineering. She is the founder of Saudi Youth for Sustainability, a national organization aspiring to empower young Saudi leaders to drive change towards sustainable development. Recently, she has been selected as a young change maker for the 2021 MEM Summit in Switzerland and a speaker of the Youth Green Summit in Riyadh, in a panel discussion with HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy, titled “Taking the Initiative: Youth Leading Climate Action. She was highlighted in the UNESCO report. She is perceived as a strong strategic thinker, activator and cross-cultural communicator.
